Prof. György Turán is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Senior Research Fellow at the HUN-REN–SZTE Research Group on Artificial Intelligence (RGAI) at the University of Szeged. Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Turán has made significant contributions to theoretical computer science, particularly in complexity theory and computational learning theory.

His research interests include computational complexity, learning theory, knowledge representation, and related topics in combinatorics and logic. His current research focuses on interpretability in machine learning.
