László Petri gave an international interview to the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Chemists
László Petri, a postdoctoral researcher in the Medicinal Chemistry Research Group at the HUN-REN Research Center for Natural Sciences, was recently featured in a series of interviews by the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC).
László Petri’s work lies at the intersection of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology. His research focuses on the development of targeted anticancer therapies, with a particular emphasis on so-called antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), which enable the active ingredient to selectively reach diseased cells while sparing healthy tissue.
In the interview, he discusses his career, his achievements in covalent drug research, and the future role of artificial intelligence and personalized therapies. As he puts it, scientific creativity and the promise of therapeutic methods—based on these results—that may one day become clinical practice are what motivate him most.
The EFMC interview is not only a mark of professional recognition but also proof that the results of the HUN-REN Medicinal Chemistry Research Group are actively shaping the international scientific discourse in the field of targeted therapies.
