Yiping Ke
Associate Professor Yiping Ke specializes in graph learning and transfer learning, applying AI to physics modeling and engineering.
Professional profileDr. Yiping Ke is an Associate Professor in the College of Computing & Data Science at Nanyang Technological University. Before joining NTU, she worked across both academia and industry, including roles as a scientist at A*STAR’s Institute of High Performance Computing and as a Research Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. This blend of academic and applied experience has strongly shaped her research and impact.
Dr. Ke has published more than 60 papers in leading journals and conferences, with her work receiving over 3,000 citations. She is an active contributor to the research community, serving as a program committee member and journal reviewer for ICML, NIPS, ICLR, UAI, IJCAI, AAAI, KDD, VLDB, ICDM, SDM, CIKM, ACM TKDD, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TKDE, VLDBJ, and Machine Learning Journal. She has also worked closely with industry, filing six US and UK patents with industrial partners, securing and managing multiple research and industry grants, and helping translate research ideas into real‑world technologies across domains such as engineering design, neuroscience, and education.
Her research interests focus on graph learning, graph analytics, and graph mining, as well as transfer learning and machine learning for physics‑based modeling. More broadly, she is interested in how data mining and AI techniques can be applied to practical challenges in areas including engineering design, brain analysis, biology, education, and environmental sustainability.
