Key Decisions by the HUN-REN Governing Board: Strategic Transformation and Guaranteed Salary Adjustment
The HUN-REN Governing Board has made a difficult yet strategically significant decision.
In a 6–2 vote, the members approved the transfer of four humanities research centres to Eötvös Loránd University. This decision confirms that HUN-REN will continue its operations as a focused and indivisible entity, now comprising 14 research centres, strengthened and unified.
The HUN-REN leadership expresses its gratitude to all those who took part in the intensive consultations.
The Governing Board also adopted another key resolution. HUN-REN has initiated immediate Government action to ensure salary adjustments essential for maintaining a viable research career path. This move is not only a recognition of the network’s performance but also a guarantee that we will be able to retain outstanding researchers and talented young scientists.
