HUN-REN’s Two-Day AI Hackathon Sets the Direction for the Future of Research
On 15–16 January 2026, the headquarters of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network hosted the Agentic Discovery Hackathon – How Will Autonomous AI Systems Transform the Processes of Research and Discovery? During this two-day hackathon, participants explored how agent-based artificial intelligence systems are reshaping the way scientific research is conducted and how discoveries are made.
