HUN-REN HRC honoured Pál Fodor with a booklet on his 70th birthday

On the occasion of his 70th birthday, Pál Fodor, Director General of the HUN-REN Research Centre for the Humanities (HUN-REN RCH) and research professor, was honoured at a ceremony at the Humanities Research House. A book of studies in honour of the internationally renowned scholar of Ottoman history was published by his colleagues and friends in tribute to his rich oeuvre.  

On March 25, 2025, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, Pál Fodor, the Honorary Director General of the HUN-REN Faculty of Humanities and Research Professor of the Institute of History, was honoured at the Research Centre of the HUN-REN, the HUN-REN Research Centre reported  

In honour of the internationally renowned researcher of Ottoman history, the Hürmetler was presented. Studies in Honour of Pál Fodor on his Seventieth Birthday, published in the 21st Century Studies in Humanities series. The editors are Géza Dávid, Antal Molnár and Gábor Fodor. At the ceremony, Balázs Balogh, Géza Dávid and Antal Molnár paid tribute to the scholar's life's work.  

In his speech, Pál Fodor recalled his personal memories and professional experiences, and spoke about his career, the evolution of the scientific community, and his experiences as a researcher and leader. He thanked his colleagues who had supported his work over many years.
