The Institute of Molecular Life Sciences Celebrates Its 75th Anniversary with Leading National and International Researchers

The opening ceremony will include welcome speeches by:

• László Hunyady, Director of Institute of Molecular Life Sciences
• Tamás Freund, President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
• Balázs Gulyás, President of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network
• László Buday, General Director of the Centre for Natural Sciences

Keynote speakers include:

• Katalin Karikó, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine
• Richard G. Pestell, President of the Pennsylvania Cancer and Regenerative Medicine Research Center and member of the HUN-REN Advisory Board
• Ole Holger Petersen, Professor at Cardiff University

Hungarian researchers presenting include:

• András Füredi, whose recent publication on "zombie-like" cancer cells received widespread attention
• András Nagy, returning to Hungary from the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute in Canada as part of the Research Grant Hungary program, now continuing his scientific work at HUN-REN TTK
