Visit of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China to the HUN-REN HQ

On June 5, 2025, Balázs Gulyás, President of HUN-REN welcomed a delegation led by Wang Yueqin, Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the Guangdong Province, to deepen bilateral scientific and innovation relations and to explore the possibilities of cooperation between research institutions in the Guangdong Province and HUN-REN.

The parties reviewed the possibilities for the development of joint research projects and identified several areas of science where they focused on the expansion of Hungarian Chinese scientific relations at the research centre and institutional level.

Following the meeting, further discussions are expected to take place to elaborate the details of possible forms of cooperation.
