13.05.2025

A delegation led by President Balázs Gulyás travelled to Paris on 6 May 2025 to meet the Chairman and CEO of CNRS. Established in 1939, CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique, the National Centre for Scientific Research) is the largest publicly funded research organisation in France which employs close to 30,000 researchers in its 10 divisions, covering every scientific field.

The delegation was received by Charman and CEO Antoine Petit, who introduced the organisation he heads, highlighting the importance of industrial cooperations and the European grants. Presenting HUN-REN President Gulyás underlined that in terms of its organisational and financial structure, CNRS serves as a role model for the renewal of the Hungarian Research Network. The two leaders agreed upon that they would examine the possibility to give a new impetus to the cooperation agreement between their organisations that was signed in 2021.
