Hungarian Interventional Clinical Trial in the International Spotlight

12.09.2025

The World-Wide FINGERS (WW-FINGERS) network, which connects researchers and research groups in 71 countries, is giving prominent coverage to the interventional clinical trial led by the HUN-REN Research Centre for Natural Sciences.

On its Network projects page, the international network features the Hungarian HUN-MLI-BRAIN multidomain lifestyle intervention trial. The randomised controlled study led by Zoltán Vidnyánszky and his research team builds on the FINGER study.

According to the WW-FINGERS description, the Hungarian project aims to maintain and enhance neurocognitive function in older adults through a lifestyle programme in which traditional Hungarian folk dance plays an important role, alongside interventions targeting diet, physical and cognitive activity, social engagement, and the monitoring of cardiovascular health. Zoltán Vidnyánszky will also present the HUN-MLI-BRAIN randomised, controlled, multidomain lifestyle intervention trial at the Healthy Living Symposium 2025.
