Industry and robotics to be key themes at HUN-REN AI Symposium
From 8 to 10 May, leading researchers and experts will present the latest technological developments and trends at the joint AI Symposium organised by HUN-REN and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Taking place at the Várkert Bazár in Budapest, the three-day event aims to give Hungarian researchers and industry stakeholders a first-hand look at the most recent advances in artificial intelligence.
One of the main themes of the symposium is “Industry, Vision and Robotics”, showcasing innovations in intelligent automation, computer vision and robotics to the professional audience at the Várkert Bazár. From smart cities to advanced manufacturing technologies, the programme will also highlight real-time systems, human–robot collaboration, and the transformative potential of generative AI in design and predictive maintenance.
Generative AI is also playing an increasingly important role in design optimisation, simulation-based training and predictive maintenance, contributing to more efficient workflows and innovative production methods.

Professor Lin Weisi, one of the leading experts in the field and a professor at NTU Singapore, will give a presentation at the May symposium. His research interests include perception-inspired signal modelling, visual quality evaluation, video compression, image processing and analysis, as well as multimedia systems.
Further details and information about the speakers are available on the event’s website.
